the human behind Embrace the Spectrum

About Me

Hi, I’m Jay Cole!

I am a human who wants to help others find new ways to love themselves and live their best lives.

Who the hell am I?

Have you ever wondered if anyone feels the way you do? Does someone out there understand how hard it can be to navigate life through the struggles of ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, sobriety, or anything of the sort? I understand you.

I am a 26-year-old with a passion for community, sobriety, and self-care. As someone overcoming the adversities of multiple mental disabilities, I often find it challenging to concentrate on a single task or remain complacent for extended periods—hence the creation of this blog! Professionally, I thrive as a sustainability specialist while also enjoying roles as a dog sitter and child caregiver. I have always naturally fell into leadership roles and love helping others learn and grow. I’m currently navigating my path forward after recently acquiring my degree in business management. In my free time, I love to spend quality time with my partner, nurture my indoor plants, dive into a good book, and immerse myself in the world of Sims 4. Through this blog, I aim to inspire joy, peace, and motivation while offering insights for self-discovery. Your feedback and questions are always welcome, so feel free to reach out via the contact form!
